First of all... how is this year already over? I feel like I was beginning my 2017 wedding season just yesterday. It was so cool to look through my 2017 engagement and wedding albums and remember these sweet moments with the bride+groom's that I worked with this year. I am so thankful for all of the couples that allowed me the honor of walking through this season of life with them. I am coming away from this year with clients who have turned into friends. So fun!
What an incredible year it has been! I began the year in Knoxville, working at Johnson University, while juggling my photography business. It was overwhelming at times and I am grateful that the Lord had other plans for Jackson and I. We moved to Clarksville in September to follow the Lord's call on our life into ministry. During this transition I made the decision to pursue photography as my "full time" job. I still cannot believe that I am able to do this for a living. I get to be with people on one of the biggest day of their life, witness sacred moments during first looks, see parents give their children away...all while CAPTURING photos that will be passed down for years to come. While this job is truly a dream, there have been many long weekends, hours on the road (lots of podcasts), and time spent away from my husband. I am so looking forward to this winter. I am planning on resting (hibernating) so that I can recharge for a busy 2018 wedding season! I cannot wait to work with all you amazing 2018 couples!
Enjoy my favorite moments from 2017!
