April 14, 2018. The day Jenna and Brock had been waiting for had finally arrived. These two grew up together and started dating in high school. Brock wrote Jenna a letter that she opened the morning of her wedding. (Try and find the photo of her reading it below...SO SWEET) and he told her that their first date was on April 14 all those years ago(!). We were all a little teary.
The forecast all week had been calling for storms and rain all day on April 14. When I arrived at the hotel where the bridesmaids were getting ready, it was raining pretty hard. We made plans to shoot the first look and wedding party photos inside since the the rain was not letting up. The first look was done in the lobby of the JW Marriott and then it finally stopped raining!! We were able to do the wedding party photos and portraits of Jenna and Brock OUTSIDE. SO HAPPY ABOUT THAT. After we were finished with photos at the hotel, we headed over to Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church for the ceremony, with the entire wedding party in a school bus! The photos on the bus turned out to be some of my favorites. After the ceremony we were able to take more photos outside the church and then we headed to the reception at Fountain Square Theatre. The reception was a blast! Jenna and Brock, thank you so much for letting me be a part of your beautiful love story!
